Pastor Joe leads the congregation at Oak Street Baptist Church by first presenting himself to God, and then searching for God’s will for the congregation. His heart is set on leading the ministers (members) of OSBC to be the front-line troops in sharing the good news of Jesus’ love to the people of North Central Texas. By extension, he is teaching us how to become a world mission station.
Pastor Joe does not see his major role as “the minister,” but rather that of an equipper. He believes that each member is a minister and can reach people for Christ through his/her gifting and abilities. Therefore, Pastor Joe’s desire is to equip each OSBC member so that we can impact the world for Christ.
Christopher leads worship at Oak Street with passion and enthusiasm. With several teams of musicians and singers, worship at Oak Street is fresh and different every week! Worship at Oak Street offers some of the newest praise and worship as well as contemporary arrangements of some of your favorite hymns. Our hope is that you find our times of worship together encouraging, uplifting and most importantly, Christ‑centered!
Pastor Loyall has spent years at Oak Street helping the church to become a “Great Commission” community. He has established outreaches in Uganda, Ukraine and the Yucatan. Most recently he added India to that growing list! He currently leads 5 to 6 mission trips a year to minister in those regions.
Dana’s primary goal as a minister is to serve the Lord by reaching children and their families for Christ. Her desire is to see children develop a passion for Jesus and to know that the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love! The children’s ministry at Oak Street is active and vibrant, and Mrs. Dana is the point of the spear overseeing the many facets of children’s ministry including (but not limited to) LAF, Sunday School, and Children’s Church.
Matt minister’s to the Senior Adults on a weekly basis, praying that their hearts would be overjoyed to the new things God is doing, and pushing ahead in their walk with Christ. Understanding that wisdom is more valuable than silver or gold, they strive to gain wisdom from reading God’s Word and prayer.
